ERA Academy of European Law, June 2nd 2015 in Riga, Latvia

The Academy of European Law ERA held a conference "Planning and Justifying the Search and Seizure of Electronic Evidence" in Riga, on 2nd June 2015. INsig2 forensics expert Damir Delija, held a presentation on "Collecting and processing electronic evidence and the essential difference between evidence and “traditional” forms of evidence" in which various issues about digital evidence and forensic tools were discussed. Conference was mostly for lawyers and law enforcement with some extremely interesting presentation from Stephen Manson and Ian Walden addressing issues in network forensics and legal admissibility of digital forensic tools and digital evidence. Era Conference shows the deep need for continues updating legal definitions and technical expertise in digital forensics issues.

The Academy of European Law is a non-profit public foundation that provides training in European law to legal practitioners. Its patrons include most EU member states and it is supported by the EU. ERA organizes conferences and seminars around Europe, offers an online training program which includes a broad range of courses and e-presentations and publishes a legal journal ERA Forum.
